Board
The Board is currently looking at how to help smaller or struggling u3as with regard to recruitment both to the u3a and within it to the committee
Council
The recent council meeting July 7th focussed on improving communications between the Board, Council and Senior Leadership team for the staff. It was a useful meeting particularly as it was face to face allowing delegates to get to know each other. Better communication throughout the Trust will improve the support given to u3as.
South East Region
The South East Region Network now has Beacon. This will help a lot with communication. The database is currently being set up by the Administrator but is nearly complete.
We would be very interested to hear from u3as about events ideally with a photo and a short comment to explain the photo (100) words for the next edition of UPDATES/
Meetings
The Treasurers zoom meeting was very well attended.
Two events have been organised. Both are face to face and intended for committee members initially but could be extended to all members depending on take up.
