Meon Valley includes many attractive small villages, such as Warnford, Exton, Corhampton, Meonstoke, Droxford, Wickham and Titchfield. The River Meon rises near the village of East Meon and flows roughly southwards for 21 miles through the beautiful South Downs National Park in east Hampshire to its marshy mouth on the Solent at Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve.
Meon Valley U3A serves the Meon Valley Villages and surrounding areas, including Wickham, Bishop's Waltham and North Fareham. It is one of very many U3A branches affiliated to the Third Age Trust, the national body.
The core activity organised for members is an annual series of talks/lectures on a wide variety of topics and usually illustrated, held twice a month between September and early May (see Events).
In addition there are a number of small special interest groups. Most of these gather in members' houses. (see Groups).
